Ingredients to make Fish in white gravy

  • Pabda fish 4 pcs
  • Mustard oil 3 to 4 tablespoon
  • Khus khus 2 tablespoon
  • Mustard ( white) seeds 2 table spoons
  • Green chilli 4 to 5 pcs
  • Tomato 1 pc cut into small pcs
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric 2 teaspoon
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Corriander leaves for garnishing
  • A pinch of sugar

How to make Fish in white gravy

  1. Wash and dry the fishes.
  2. Marinade the fish with a little salt , turmeric and lemon juice.
  3. Heat 2 tablespons of mustard oil in a non stick pan and fry the fishes till golden
  4. Transfer the fish to a tissue paper to drain excess oil.
  5. Add rest of the oil in the pan when smoke comes out, add slit green chilies and tomatoes.
  6. Add the khus khus mustard paste mixed with a little water.
  7. Add salt, sugar and turmeric.
  8. Add the fried fishes and a little more water.
  9. Bring to a boil and at last add the coriander leaves and cover with a lid.
  10. Serve hot with rice.

My Tip:

Little kashmiri red chilli can be added
