Mushrooms have been found to have multiple health benefits for both children and adults alike. High in antioxidants and in Vitamins C and D, mushrooms have been proven to help lower the risk of cancer and diabetes and have also been found to improve heart health amongst adults. In addition to this, the dietary fibres present in mushrooms boost immunity and help in weight management. Mushrooms are rich sources of both proteins and iron. Since the cell walls of mushroom are indigestible unless exposed to heat, it is imperative to cook mushrooms to avail all of their nutritional benefits. The authentic and easy to make Chilly Mushroom is a great way to cook mushrooms.

Combining mushrooms with sautéed vegetables tossed in a stir-fry sauce, the Chilly Mushroom is a great snack that will ensure your family receives all the benefits of this lovely vegetable along with a host of other vegetables such as capsicum and onion. Made with easily available ingredients, the vegan Chilly Mushroom recipe has some lovely flavours that will make it an instant hit in your family. The batter that is made to coat the mushrooms should have a flowing consistency that is not too thin. One way of ensuring you get the desired consistency for the batter is to ensure that the batter completely coats a spoon and does not drip from it. Dunk your mushrooms in this batter and deep-fry them in a pan. But make sure that the oil is hot enough to start the frying process. To check the temperature of the oil, put a drop of the prepared batter in the kadai-if the drop immediately sinks to the bottom of the kadai, the oil is not hot enough but if they drop starts to float in the batter, this means that the oil is hot enough and you can start dipping the mushrooms in the batter and putting them in the kadai. The crispiness of the mushrooms and the crunch of all the vegetables that have been used in this restaurant-style dish are trademarks of this dish.

A pan-fried appetizer and a pan-fried snack all combined in one, homemade Chilly Mushroom is perfect for every occasion. Add a side of rice with the Chilly Mushroom and you have a perfect snack that will make everyone in your family fall in love with mushrooms.
