About Guramba Recipe

Sweet and tangy green mango pickle.

Guramba

Ingredients to make Guramba

  • 1 kg green mangoes
  • 1 kg jaggery
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 8-10 peppercorns
  • 6-7 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • salt accordingly
  • 1/2 cup vinegar

How to make Guramba

  1. Wash, peel and cut green mangoes into thin strips.
  2. Take a microwave safe bowl, place mangoes in it add vinegar and microwave it for 5-6 minutes. Check if mangoes have become a little softer.
  3. Then add jaggery, red chilly powder, salt, cumin powder, cloves and peppercorns. Again microwave it for 7-8 minutes. Let it cool and it's done.
  4. Fill it in the glass jar and refrigerate it.

My Tip:

Always keep guramba in the fridge.
