Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup cooked toor dal
  2. A small cup small onions
  3. Half a tomato
  4. Portions of chopped garlic ginger and green chillie
  5. Few curry leaves
  6. A tbsp red chilli powder
  7. A tbsp coreander powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Pinch of turmeric
  10. A bay leaf, a star anise, few mustard seeds
  11. A tbsp cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. A BAY LEAF, A PIECE OF STAR ANISE AND FEW MUSTARD GOES INTO THE HOT OIL IN THE PAN.
  2. FOLLOWED BY FINELY CHOPPED GARLIC, GINGER, SMALL ONIONS, CURRY LEAVES, AND GREEN CHILLIE.
  3. ADD IN ENOUGH SALT ( ALREADY SALT WILL BE IN THE COOKED DAL ) AND A PINCH OF TURMERIC
  4. AFTER 2 MINS ADD CHOPPED CAPSICUM
  5. SEASON THE MIXTURE FUETHER WITH A TBSP OF CHILLI POWDER AND A TBSP OF COREANDER POWDER.
  6. ADD IN THE COOKED DAL ONCE THE RAW SMELL OF THE SPICE POWDERS EVADES OFF.
  7. ADD IN HALF A TOMATO AND CLOSE THE LID.
  8. TRANSFER THE GRAVY TO THE SERVING BOWL ONCE THE BOILING STAGE IS REACHED.
  9. ADD IN A TSP OF GARAM MASALA INTO THE HOT GRAVY.
  10. FRY A TBSP OF CUMIN SEEDS IN 2 TBSP BUTTER.
  11. FOLLOWED BY A DRY RED CHILLIE.
  12. ADD IN COREANDER LEAVES AND GARNISH WITH BUTTER SEASONED CUMIN PORTION INTO THE GRAVY.
  13. RICE OR ROTI, THE DAL FRY MAKES THEM BEAUTIFUL WITH ITS WONDERFUL AROMA AND TASTE.
