Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For masala
  2. Oil
  3. 1/8 tea spoon fenugreek seed
  4. 2 table spoon groundnut
  5. 2 table spoon grated coconut
  6. 1 tea spoon cumin
  7. 1 tea spoon poppy seed
  8. 1 tea spoon sesame seeds
  9. 1 tea spoon coriander seeds
  10. For Puree
  11. 4 tomatoes
  12. 1 big size onion
  13. 1 ginger
  14. 2-3 green chillies
  15. 4-5 slit small brinjal
  16. Oil
  17. 3 tea spoon dhaniya powder
  18. 2 tea spoon turmeric powder
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Tamarind pulp
  21. 1 tea spoon hing
  22. 2 tea spoon red chili powder
  23. 1 tea spoon jeera

Instructions

  1. Take all the ingredients of masala in kadai and saute
  2. Let it cool and make paste by grinding in the mixer
  3. Make puree and keep aside
  4. Take another kadai put oil n put slit brinjal and let it fry or cook till it becomes soft on medium flame
  5. Take out brinjal and keep aside
  6. In kadai take oil put jeera, chopped green chillies, hing and saute it
  7. Add puree and mix well, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, dhaniya powder and salt mix well
  8. Add the paste and mix well add water and tamarind pulp
  9. Cook till first boil
  10. Add brinjal mix it and cover for 5 minutes to cook
  11. Garnish with green coriander leaves
  12. Bhagara baingan ready to eat
