Mutton recipe with a thick gravy.

Dhaba Mutton

Ingredients to make Dhaba Mutton

  • 500 gm mutton pieces
  • Desi ghee as required
  • 4 chopped onions
  • 5 chopped tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp tomato puree
  • 5-6 green chilli
  • 2 Cloves, 1 tejpatha, 1 dalchini
  • 1 big cardamom
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp lalmirch powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp meat masala
  • 1/2 tsp kasoori methi powder
  • FOR GARNISH
  • Chopped coriander

How to make Dhaba Mutton

  1. Take ghee in a cooker add jeera, tejpatha, dalchini, cloves, cardamom and let it crackle.
  2. Add chopped onions sauté till brown add all the dry spices and little water and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add washed mutton pieces and sauté for 7-8 minutes on low flame.
  4. Make a puree of tomatoes in a blender and add it to a cooker.
  5. Cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame.
  6. Keep cooking till oil comes out.
  7. Add water as required.
  8. Cover the cooker and After 2 whistles cook it on low flame for approx 9-10 minutes or till mutton is cooked.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander
  10. Serve hot with laccha parantha.

My Tip:

Roast the mutton properly.
