Karachi Halwa

Ingredients to make Karachi Halwa

  • 1/2 cup vanila flavour custard powder
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 21/2cup water
  • 4 green cardamom seeds
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 6 almonds peeled and sliced
  • 6 cashew nuts chopped
  • 1 pinch orange food color

How to make Karachi Halwa

  1. Heat pan to make sugar syrup. Add custard powder and food colour which melted in little water with no lumps
  2. Add it in sugar syrup and cook it on fast flame and keep stirring, it will forms jelly.
  3. When it becomes little thick add green cardamom chopped dry fruits and 1 tablespoon ghee
  4. Cook it on high flame for 10 to 12 minutes and 5 min on low flame. Shift it on greasing plate and cool it on room temperature for an hour. Cut it into square shape
  5. Garnish with pistachios

My Tip:

cook well till you see the jelly form
