Opèn Sandwich

Ingredients to make Opèn Sandwich

  • Brown bread slices 8
  • Boiled potatoes 2big
  • green chillies 3
  • onion 1 finely chopped
  • Green coriander half bunch chopped
  • Grated paneer half cup
  • Grated carrot half cup
  • cornflour 1 cup
  • salt to taste

How to make Opèn Sandwich

  1. Boil and mash the potatoes
  2. Add green chillies coriander leaves, onions, grated carrot, grated paneer to the potatoes. Mix salt to taste
  3. Cover each bread slice with a generous amount of filling
  4. Make a thick paste of cornflour with milk. If the paste coats the back of your spoon then you are ready to go
  5. Dip each of the bread slice in the batter and fry in oil till they are crisp
  6. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and dhania chutney

My Tip:

1. You can shallow fry the sandwich but i prefer to deep fry it becsuse then only you csn get it crispy and crunchy. 2. You can use any veggies you want beetroot french beans corn kernels
