ABOUT Misri ki roti (indian tart) RECIPE

This is a dessert which is dry bakee on a tandoor or oven and sprinkled with some toppings of pistachio, misri and cardamom.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. All purpose flour (Maida) 200gram
  2. Finely powdered Sugar 100gram
  3. Clarified butter (ghee) 100gram
  4. Pistachio (finely chopped) 15gram
  5. Cardamom 10gram
  6. Misri 15gram
  7. Dry rose petals 5gram

Instructions

  1. measure all the ingredients as per the recipe.
  2. save the flour and sugar to remove unwanted particles.
  3. Pour the ghee into the flour and sugar mix.
  4. using your fingers apply Rub in method to prepare a dough.
  5. grease the tart mould with ghee and dust some flour on it.
  6. if using a microwave preheat your oven to 180 degree Celsius and on using gas tandur on the gas stove to medium flame.
  7. take a portion of the dough and apply it on the tart mould using your thumbs.
  8. make sure while applying you press it hard with your thumb.
  9. also there should be a depression at the centre after complete filling.
  10. now apply the toppings that is the misr, pistachio, rose petals and cardamom.
  11. now keep the tart mould into the microwave or tandoor for baking process.
  12. once baked, allow it to cool for sometime and then de moluld it.
  13. the dish is now ready to be served.
