South Indian Style Baby Potatoes

Ingredients to make South Indian Style Baby Potatoes

  • Baby potatoes half kilo
  • asafoetida one big pinch
  • Rai (Black mustard seeds) 1 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala 3-4 tbsp
  • curry leaves 15-20
  • mustard oil 3 tbsp

How to make South Indian Style Baby Potatoes

  1. Wash and clean baby potatoes.
  2. Cut them in half.
  3. Heat mustard oil in a kadhai.
  4. Add a big pinch of asafoetida.
  5. Add mustard seeds. Once they splutter add the curry leaves.
  6. Add the sliced baby potatoes.
  7. Add half a teaspoon of salt.
  8. Add chaat masala (3 tbsp/to taste). Stir.
  9. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes. Stir once or twice during the cook.
