ABOUT Aloo cheesy toast sandwich RECIPE

Aloo toast sandwiches are every vegetarian's favourite and is a very popular indian sandwich recipe. Addition of cheese gives a unique flavor to this recipe. This sandwich is great for breakfast, kid's lunch boxes and evening snacks. They taste great and are very easy to prepare.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bread 8 slices
  2. FOR MASALA.....
  3. Oil 1 tbsp
  4. Potatoes 4 (boiled, peeled and mashed)
  5. Mustard seeds 1 tsp (rai)
  6. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp (zeera)
  7. Curry leaves 7 to 8
  8. Green chillies 2 to 3 finely chopped
  9. Ginger Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  10. Garam masala 1 1/2 tsp
  11. Dry mango powder 1 tsp (amchoor pwd)
  12. Coriender leaves 1/2 cup
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Sandwich masala or chat masala (for sprinkling)
  15. Butter (for greasing)
  16. Cheese
  17. Green chutney (mint and coriander chutney)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame, add mustard seeds. Let it splutter. add cumin seeds, saute for a couple of seconds, add ginger garlic paste and finely chopped green chilles. saute for a minute. Add turmeric powder. Stir and cook for a minute.
  2. Add boiled and mashed potatoes, garam masala powder, dry mango powder (amchoor powder), Coriender leaves and salt. Mix and switch off the flame. Aloo masala for sandwich is ready.
  3. Take bread slices. Spread green chutney on one side and aloo masala on ther other side. Sprinkle some sandwich masala over the aloo masala. Great cheese on it.
  4. Cover each with a bread slice which is spread with green chutney.
  5. Now greese sandwich toaster with some butter and place sandwiches in a preheated toaster or grill or sandwich maker.
  6. Toast untill crispy and golden in colour.
  7. Remove aloo toast sandwiches from the toaster. sprinkle some sandwich masala or chat masala and surve it hot with green chutney and tomato ketchup.
