ABOUT Easy Butter Murukku RECIPE

This is a soft and crispy murukku.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rice flour - 4 cups (heaped)
  2. Roasted ured dhal -½ cup
  3. Hot oil or butter - 1 ladle
  4. Oil - for deep frying the murukkus
  5. Salt - 1 tsp. or as needed

Instructions

  1. In a vessel, take rice flour, urad flour and salt and mix well.
  2. Now add 1 ladle of hot oil in this and mix well.
  3. Split the flour into 3 or 4 parts.
  4. In one part add water and mix into a thick dough.
  5. Take a murukku mould or achu and put the single star plate and apply oil inside.
  6. Now take the dough and keep inside and press the flour into a circular shape in hot oil.
  7. Cook till both sides are crisp. Do not keep in oil for more time. Otherwise the murukkus will burn.
