About Quick Rajma masala Recipe

This method of Rajma masala is easy and tasty

Quick Rajma masala

Ingredients to make Quick Rajma masala

  • Boiled rajma 1 cup
  • onion 2
  • garlic cloves 7
  • tomato 1
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Kitchen king 1/4 tsp
  • Kasuri methi 1 tsp

How to make Quick Rajma masala

  1. Soak Rajma in hot water (not boiling) for 3 hours.
  2. Pressure cook Rajma for 15 minutes after 4 whistles on a low flame.
  3. Heat a kadai and add finely chopped onions and garlic.
  4. Add tomato and fry till soft. then add turmeric, red chilli and garam masala. Saute
  5. Add salt and Rajma and bring to a boil.
  6. Switch off the flame ,add kasuri methi, kitchen King and a dollop of butter.
  7. Serve hot with chapatis.

My Tip:

Instead of soaking pulses overnight, soak them in hot water( not boiling). The level of water should be 3 inches higher than the pulses.
