About Veg Pizza Sandwich Recipe

My family is every bit a pizza lover. If there is one dish my family can eat all three meals in the day, it is pizzas ! Today I am making a quick version pizza with sandwich bread and piling it up with hearty vegetables, making it a perfect snack. Some tomato paste, assorted vegetables, cheese and basic spices is all you need.

Veg Pizza Sandwich

Ingredients to make Veg Pizza Sandwich

  • Slices of bread 8-10
  • tomato paste 4 tablespoons
  • salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Mixed vegetables (Onion, corn, Capsicum/bell peppers) 1 cup
  • Grated carrot 1 cup
  • Cheese 1/2 cup
  • sesame seeds (black /white) 1 tablespoon
  • 2-3 clove of garlic, minced

How to make Veg Pizza Sandwich

  1. Preheat the oven at its highest temperature.
  2. Place the bread slices on a pre-greased baking tray.
  3. Spread tomato puree on the bread slices as the first layer.
  4. Add in the assorted vegetables and minced garlic on top of the tomato puree. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top
  5. Next, top it up with grated carrots and cheese.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and bake for about 15-17 minutes or till the cheese melts and the bread becomes crispy. Serve hot

My Tip:

Try not to use vegetables which release water (like tomatoes or spinach).
