Chicken Chilli

Ingredients to make Chicken Chilli

  • Boneless chicken breast 500 gms (Cut in small bite size cubes)
  • Ginger and garlic, chopped 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies 5-6
  • Green capsicum 1 cup
  • Cabbage 1 cup
  • Carrot 1 cup
  • Spring Onions 1 cup
  • Cornflour 2-3 tbsp
  • Maida 2 tbsp
  • 1 egg
  • Soya sauce as per taste
  • Red chilli sauce as per liking
  • Tomato ketchup as desired
  • Vinegar 1 to 2 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to make Chicken Chilli

  1. Wash the chicken, cut it into small bite size pieces.
  2. Add chopped ginger and garlic, soya sauce, vinegar, chilli sauce, tomato ketchup and salt as per taste. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes. Add corn flour, maida, salt to taste and 1 egg. Mix all properly.
  3. Take oil in pan and as soon as the oil become hot add in the chicken pieces and fry properly. It will take only 5 minutes to cook them.
  4. In an another pan put very little oil, chopped ginger, garlic and chillies in it. Stir properly and add all the vegetables except spring onions. Stir all and mix on a high flame. Add salt and make sure the vegetables are crispy. Transfer these vegetables in a bowl, keep aside.
  5. In a pan add corn flour, 2 cups water in it and mix. Add in all the sauce as per your taste followed by sugar. Let it boil, wait for 2 minutes and let it cook. You will get glossy sauce.
  6. Add in the fried chicken and stir fry veg. Stir in all together on a high flame for 2-3 minutes
  7. Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.

My Tip:

Add sauce and ginger garlic as per your liking. There is no exact measurements for it. Same for cornflour and maida. Do not take too much oil for frying. I have used 150 ml oil for the whole recipe.
