- 1 French bread or baguette or crusty loaf
- 1 ripe tomatoes finely chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 garlic clove finely chopped or grated

My Tip:I am sharing the tip to cut a chiffonade of basil. Stack about 10-12 leaves into a neat pile and roll it lengthwise into a fairly tight log. Slice across the log using a sharp knife. The closer together the slices, the finer the chiffonade will be. Fluff the chiffonade with your fingers to separate the shreds. The chiffonade of basil is ready. Use it immediately.
