Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Onion:1
  2. Green chillies:3
  3. Ginger: small piece
  4. Garlic: 5-6 cloves
  5. Tomato: 1 finely chopped
  6. Coriander leaves- handful
  7. Mint leaves - handful
  8. Beans, carrot, green peas : 1 cup chopped
  9. Oil:as required
  10. Ghee:2 tablespoons
  11. Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom-1 each
  12. Salt : as required
  13. cashews-5 no’s
  14. Basmati rice:2 glass
  15. Water: 1 - 1/2 glass
  16. Turmeric powder:1 pinch
  17. Lemon juice:1 spoon

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a cooker fry cinnamon, cardamom and cloves. Once the nice smell comes out add onion,green chillies, ginger & garlic and fry till onion turns golden brown.
  2. Allow it to cool down for sometime and grind to a smooth paste by adding mint and coriander leaves..
  3. In a same cooker add oil fry cinnamon, cardamom and cloves each one number.
  4. Add tomatoes and fry till turns mushy.
  5. Add grounded paste and turmeric powder and fry for about 2 mins. Add vegetables and water.
  6. Add salt as required and allow the water to boil with veggies mix for 5 minutes.
  7. Now add basmati rice and squeeze lemon juice (1 spoon)
  8. Cover the lid and keep a whistle. Turn off flame once done
  9. Serve hot with Raita or any spicy curry.
