Rawa Kheer

Ingredients to make Rawa Kheer

  • wheat rawa - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • sugar - 3 tbsp
  • cardamom powder a pinch
  • ghee - 2 tsp
  • rose essence (optional)
  • Dry fruits (optional)

How to make Rawa Kheer

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and put in the rawa. Saute for 5 minutes stirring continuously.
  2. Pour 1 cup of milk into the pan while stirring. Add in the dry fruits if using any. Keep the flame low and mix well.
  3. When the rawa is well roasted add in the sugar, mix well and turn off the flame.
  4. Add the cardamom powder and rose essence. Leave for a minute and add the remaining 1 cup of milk.
  5. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Use fine variety rawa. Add milk slowly into the pan as it will splutter. If kheer looks very thick then add a little more milk.
