Ingredients to make Palak Paneer

  • palak 1 kg
  • garlic 5-7 buds
  • tomatoes 3-4 medium
  • haldi powder a pinch
  • dhania powder 1/2 tsp
  • Lal mirch powder 1/2 tsp

  • water for boiling
  • jeera 1 tsp
  • hing a pinch
  • Rai 1 tsp

How to make Palak Paneer

  1. Wash palak thoroughly and add it to the pressure cooker. Add in tomatoes and garlic.
  2. Add a little water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. Then let it cool.
  3. Once cool, transfer into a blender and blend till you get a smooth paste.
  4. In a deep wok, add oil, jeera, hing and rai. Pour in the palak puree and cook till it boils.
  5. Add in the paneer pieces and cook for a few more minutes. You can fry the paneer pieces before adding them.
  6. Serve hot with chapati.

My Tip:

When we boil tomatoes and garlic with palak then it increases its nutrition values.

don't pressure cook it..just blanch it and add a pinch of sugar so that the colour is retained.
