Ingredients to make Basil philly and mango carpaccio canapés.

  • Philadelphia Cheese 1 packet
  • Fresh basil - handful of leaves
  • Mangoes 2
  • Thai red chilli 5-6
  • French baguette 1

How to make Basil philly and mango carpaccio canapés.

  1. Slice your baguette width wise into thin slices. Line them up on your baking tray and bake them for 10 minutes at 180 - 200 degree centigrade until brown.
  2. Blanch a handful of basil leaves for 2 minutes in boiling water. Strain and grind it.
  3. Add the above ground basil to the Philadelphia cheese and mix until smooth and well combined. Keep in the fridge to chill.
  4. With the help of a bread knife cut out thin slices of mango lengthwise.
  5. With the help of 2 spoons make cornels of the cheese mixture and keep it on each bread.
  6. Cover it with mangoes and finish off with a thin slice of chilli.
