Corn Patties Sandwich

Ingredients to make Corn Patties Sandwich

  • 100 grams fresh corn
  • 2 boil potatoes medium size
  • 4 tbsp besan / gram flour
  • 3 tbsp grated amul cheese cubes
  • oil to deep fry
  • salt to taste
  • Chat masala to taste
  • red chilli powder as per choice
  • 1 tsp jeera / cumin powder
  • baking soda a pinch
  • 1-2 green chillies
  • coriander leaves as per choice
  • butter as required
  • tamarind chutney /tomato ketchup
  • Green chutney as per choice
  • 4- 6 Pavs or bread of choice
  • 1-2 green chillies

How to make Corn Patties Sandwich

  1. Boil corn and potatoes separately.
  2. Cool and peel potatoes.
  3. Drain water of corn and add to potatoes.
  4. Now add all spices mentioned.
  5. Add the green chillies, chopped.
  6. Add chopped corriander too
  7. Mash and mix the above into a soft dough (potatoes, corn and dry spices plus the green chilli & coriander).
  8. Make a batter of the gram flour (pakora consistency).
  9. Season this with salt and baking powder.
  10. Keep aside the batter.
  11. Form patty of the potatoes, corn cheese mix and keep ready.
  12. Heat oil in a kadai.
  13. Dip each patty in the besan batter and golden fry and keep aside to cool as soon as possible.
  14. Slit open the pav, if using.
  15. Apply butter on both sides of bread or pav. Apply both chutneys mentioned.
  16. Keep one patty each on the chutneys side of bread or Pav
  17. Close like sandwich and cut diagonally.
  18. Serve with hot tea.
