Ingredients to make APPLE POMEGRANATE SHAMMI KABABS

  • Chana dal- 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  • Boiled and mashed potatoes- 2 no.
  • Breadcrumbs for binding
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated Apple- 1 no
  • Pomegranate seeds- 1/2 slice
  • Cumin and coriander powder-1/2 tsp each
  • Garam masala- 1 tsp
  • Chopped Coriander leaves- a handful
  • Ginger- 1/2 inch piece
  • Garlic pods- 6 cloves
  • Chopped onions- 1 no.
  • Chopped green chillies- 2 no.
  • Oil for shallow frying

How to make APPLE POMEGRANATE SHAMMI KABABS

  1. Grind chana dal , ginger, garlic, corainder leaves, grated apple, green chillies into a paste
  2. Now add salt ,mashed potatoes, cumin coriander powder, garam masala, pomegranate seeds, breadcrumbs and chopped onions and mix well.
  3. Add more breadcrumbs if the mixture seems watery.
  4. Now make flattened rounds from the above mixture and keep aside.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add the flattened pattice and cook till golden brown ..flip to the other side and do the same
  6. Remove from pan and serve hot with sauce or chopped onions as you desire....its simple yet tasty too
