Cashew Apple Sweets

Ingredients to make Cashew Apple Sweets

  • cashew 2 cups
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water
  • saffron 8 -10 strands
  • Red colour
  • cloves 15- 20
  • 1/4 tablespoon cardamom powder

How to make Cashew Apple Sweets

  1. Grind the cashew in mixer and keep aside.
  2. Make sugar syrup by adding sugar and water on medium flame in a deep pan while stirring continuously .
  3. When mixture starts to turn little sticky, put the flame at slow add cardamom powder and saffron.
  4. Takeout one 1 spoon syrup in a small bowl to decorate the apple.
  5. And the cashew powder in pan syrup and mix it well . Cook and mix continuously till mixture thickens and turns into single lump.
  6. Turn off the flame and transfer dough in a plate and let it cool for 3-4 minutes . This step is essential else cashew dough will get overcooked.
  7. Make small balls out of the dough while the mixture is sufficient warm and press the balls from upper and bottom side to give them shape of apple .
  8. Now place one clove in the upper side to make the Stem of the apple.
  9. Finally hold the apple carefully and using the painting brush and red syrup colour the each cashew apple to give to the typical look of apple as shown in image.
  10. Cashew apples are ready to serve.

My Tip:

Instead of artificial colours natural colours can be used( instead of red colour syrup you can use beetroot syrup)
