Butter Mutter Mushroom

Ingredients to make Butter Mutter Mushroom

  • mushroom 1 pack
  • Green peas 1 cup
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • onion 1 big
  • tomato 2 big
  • cashews 10
  • chilly powder 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • saffron little
  • salt
  • sugar
  • Kasoori methi
  • butter 2 tbsp

How to make Butter Mutter Mushroom

  1. Wash and cut the mushrooms into pieces.
  2. Take a wok add some butter and add in 2 cardamom , cinnamon and 2 cloves then chopped onion and ginger garlic paste, fry for some time.
  3. Next add in chopped tomatoes and little salt and fry till mushy.
  4. Meanwhile soak the cashews in milk and saffron for fifteen mins.
  5. Now when the tomatoes are mushy, add in coriander powder and turmeric powder then turn off the flame. Now add in the soaked cashew mixture and kasuri methi and half a tsp of sugar. Allow to cool .
  6. Grind the mixture to a fine paste in a blender.
  7. Now heat a wok, add butter, saute the mushrooms well.
  8. Then add in the ground paste, mix well, add in peas and salt. Cover and cook for ten mins on low flame . Add in a blob of butter on top finally.

My Tip:

Adding cream on top gives an extra taste and richness to the gravy.
