Chocolate Pecan Tart

Ingredients to make Chocolate Pecan Tart

  • all purpose flour 1 3/4 cups
  • Icing sugar 1/2 cup
  • butter 3/4 cup cold
  • egg 1
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Dark chocolate 150 gms chopped
  • Heavy cream 3/4 cup
  • Pecan 1/2 cup

How to make Chocolate Pecan Tart

  1. Mix flour and sugar.
  2. Rub butter into this mix, gently with your hands until its a fine crumb. Leave 1 tbsp butter for ganache.
  3. Add egg to it and mix again to form a dough.
  4. Place it in the refrigerator for about 20 min.
  5. Meanwhile, preheat the oven and grease the mini tart pans.
  6. Take out the dough and make even balls.
  7. Roll out each ball one by one and press it into the pans.
  8. Now bake these for about 20 min at 170 deg.
  9. Take it out when completely baked.
  10. Let these cool.
  11. Meanwhile prepare the ganache by adding warm cream & butter, mix to the chopped dark chocolate.
  12. Add vanilla essence to it.
  13. Add some roughly chopped pecans to it.
  14. Pour this yum nutty ganache in the tart shells.
  15. Garnish / decorate with pecans.
  16. And you have a fabulous dessert ready.

My Tip:

Add some oats to the flour to add some nutrition.
