Vegatable Pulao

Ingredients to make Vegatable Pulao

  • 1 glass rice
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 potato
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup capsicum
  • 1 cup beans
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 2 glass of water
  • 1 tbsp oil/ghee

How to make Vegatable Pulao

  1. wash rice and soak in fresh water for about 15-20 min.
  2. Take a pressure cooker, add oil and cumin seeds.
  3. as it starts crackling, add sliced onions.
  4. as it becomes translucent, add chopped veggies.
  5. saute it then add chopped green chilli and chopped tomatoes.
  6. saute it then add all the dry masalas, mix it.
  7. then add soaked rice.
  8. mix with masala and add water.
  9. cover the lid. cook the rice(approx 5 min.). depends upon different pressure cooker. in my cooker I switch off the gas after 1 whistle.
  10. remove the steam but keep the some steam and let it evaporate by itself.
  11. vegetable pulao is ready, serve hot.

My Tip:

Serve pulao with Butter or ghee to enhance the taste.
