Butter Chole Paneer

Ingredients to make Butter Chole Paneer

  • Chole 1 1/2 cup
  • onion 2
  • tomato 500 grams
  • garlic crushed 1 tbsp
  • ginger 1 tbsp
  • Chole masala 2 tsp
  • sugar 2 tsp
  • Kasoori methi 2 tbsp
  • butter 3 tbsp
  • paneer 200 grams
  • salt as per taste
  • chilli powder as per requirement
  • turmeric according to taste
  • Fresh cream 2 tbsp
  • oil 3 tbsp

How to make Butter Chole Paneer

  1. Pressure cook chole with salt.
  2. Cook the tomato in water and blend to get a puree.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add khada masala (cloves, cardamom and cinnamon).
  4. Add onion and saute. Add garlic, ginger and pureed tomato.
  5. Add in the chole masala and salt.
  6. Add sugar and saute for 15 minutes or till the gravy become thick.
  7. Add butter and saute chole and paneer.
  8. Add kasoori methi, fresh cream and serve.

My Tip:

Adding sugar preserves the red colour of tomato.
