ABOUT Muzaafar RECIPE

Sweet vermicelli is very famous and prevalent dish of Lucknow/Uttar Pradesh. Extremes tasty and must try recipe for all.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Vermicelli 2 cups
  2. Sugar 1 cup
  3. Ghee 1/2 cup
  4. Rose water 2 tsp
  5. Cashew nuts 8 nos sliced
  6. Pistachios 8 nos sliced
  7. Milk 2 cups
  8. Water 1 /2 cup
  9. Milk powder 2 tbsp
  10. Khoya 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat the ghee in a kadai ,fry vermicelli for 3 minutes.
  2. Make sugar syrup- Melt the sugar in a kadai with water , stirring on gently along with heat until the sugar dissolves completely and make sugar syrup like one string .
  3. Boil the milk with khoya then remove from gas ,
  4. add vermicelli, press gently with a spoon so that all the vermicelli is moistened. Cover and leave for 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes pour the sugar syrup on vermicelli milk mixture and return the pan on a low flame , cover and cook for 20 minutes undisturbed or until liquid has been absorbed,
  6. Each strand of vermicelli should be separate . Add rose water and cashew, pistachios slices, milk powder serve chilled.
