Coriander Coconut Chutney

Ingredients to make Coriander Coconut Chutney

  • Fresh coriander- 6 to 10 strands
  • Fresh coconut - pieces of 1/2 coconut
  • Fried bengal gram dal - 1 tablespoon
  • tamarind - 1 inch size piece
  • salt - as per taste
  • water - as needed to grind

How to make Coriander Coconut Chutney

  1. Add all the ingredients into a mixer. Blend it dry to make a coarse mixture.
  2. Then pour in water little by little and blend it well for a few times to make a smooth fine chutney.
  3. Serve it with hot idlies/dosa or parathas.

My Tip:

To add flavour remember to add tadka. For the tadka, heat coconut/cooking oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds and curry leaves and allow it to splutter. Remove from heat and add this tadka to the chutney.
