Ingredients to make Paneer stuffed Potato patties

  • potatoes 3 to 4 medium large, boiled, mashed with a pinch of salt
  • paneer 100 gms, coarsely crumbled
  • green chillies 1 or 2, finely minced
  • ginger/garlic 1 tsp finely minced
  • coriander finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • cornflour for coating

How to make Paneer stuffed Potato patties

  1. Keep the mashed potato aside and ready.
  2. Mix all the other ingredients except the cornflour.
  3. Take the potato mash and mould it into a deep cup. Fill the paneer into the potato and close it completely.
  4. Dip the patties in the cornflour and shallow fry.
  5. Goes perfectly with tangy tamarind chutney, tomato sauce or spicy green chutney.

My Tip:

There should be no water in the potato mash. So, preferably boil the potatoes earlier and keep to cool in the fridge. At the time of actual making, mash it as described in the ingredients. If you are making for more people just increase the quantities accordingly. You can also coat in breadcrumbs and shallow fry.
