Spicy Pasta Au Gratin

Ingredients to make Spicy Pasta Au Gratin

  • Fusilli pasta 2 cups
  • garlic finely chopped 2 tsp
  • carrot diced 1/4 cup
  • Red bell pepper 1/4 cup
  • Italian seasoning 2 tsp
  • Fresh tomatoes 3
  • Red chillies 6-8
  • garlic Cloves 5
  • Grated parmesan cheese 1/2 cup
  • all purpose flour 4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • water 1 cup
  • butter/ Olive oil 4 tsp

How to make Spicy Pasta Au Gratin

  1. Boil the pasta till al dente and rinse in cold water.
  2. Blanch the tomatoes with red chillies and garlic cloves.
  3. If you using canned tomatoes, then soak the red chillies and garlic cloves in 1/4 cup warm water.
  4. Pour the tomatoes along with chillies and garlic cloves.
  5. Add butter/olive oil and saute the carrots, red bell pepper and finely chopped garlics for two minutes.
  6. Add the tomato puree. Cook until the raw smell of tomatoes disappears. Stir in the Italian seasoning and salt.
  7. Dissolve the all purpose flour in 1/4 water and add to the vegetable mixture.
  8. Cook on a low flame until they become saucy. Add the pasta and saute.
  9. Preheat the oven to 180 degree centigrade.
  10. Grease a pan with butter and transfer the pasta mix to it.
  11. Top it with the grated parmesan cheese and bake for 10 - 12 minutes.
  12. Your spicy cheesy au gratin pasta is ready to serve.
  13. Serve hot.
