Ingredients to make Chocolate Pina Coconut Modak

  • 20 - 22 marie biscuits
  • 2 tbsp coco powder
  • A pinch of coffe powder
  • Desiccated coconut - 250 grams
  • Condensed Milk 1 tin
  • Vanila essence - 1 drop
  • pineapple essence - 1 drop

How to make Chocolate Pina Coconut Modak

  1. To make the chocolate dough: Blend the Marie biscuits to a powder and place in a non stick pan. Add coffee powder and coco powder.
  2. Add condensed milk as required. Combine well everything to make a nice choco mixture. Turn off the gas flame.
  3. Keep the choco dough aside and let it cool, then add in the vanilla essence.
  4. Make the coconut dough: In a pan, take dry coconut powder, condensed milk and malai. Mix well on medium heat to combine well. Then turn off the gas flame. Mix well, when it is thick keep aside and let it cool. Add the pineapple essence.
  5. Grease the modak moulds using ghee and start shaping the modaks.
