Ingredients to make Coconut Stuffed Banana Dumplings in yoghurt sauce

  • 6 large raw banana
  • For Filling
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • 3 tbsp raisins
  • 1-2 chopped green chillies
  • 1 tbsp roasted jeera pd.
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2tbsp roasted grated coconut
  • For Sauce
  • 500 ml yoghurt
  • 1 tsp roasted ground fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp roasted ground jeera seeds
  • 1/4 th tsp chilli pd
  • salt

How to make Coconut Stuffed Banana Dumplings in yoghurt sauce

  1. Boil the plaintains till tender.Drain , cool ,peel and mash well .Add salt and keep aside
  2. In a separate bowl,mix all filling ingredients.
  3. Oil palms liberally.Lightly press 1 tbsp of mashed plantain into palm of hand,make a well in centre,add generous pinch of filling.Close the plantain mixture over stuffing and lightly roll into ball.Similarly make all balls.
  4. Deep fry over medium heat till crisp and golden.Remove and drain over kitchen paper.
  5. For Sauce : Mix yoghurt with spices and salt.Add little cream.
  6. Pour 1/2 sauce into a serving dish.Place the dumplings on top.Cover with rest of sauce.
