About Dhuska Recipe

Dhuska is a traditional cuisine very popular in Bihar & Jharkhand. No festival is complete without this recipe at our place. Sometimes we even don't wait for any occasion for this. Very simple & delicious recipe.

Dhuska

Ingredients to make Dhuska

  • rice 2 cups
  • chana dal 1 cup
  • green chillies 4-5
  • garlic 4-5 cloves
  • curry leaves few
  • salt
  • coriander
  • Finely chopped onion 1

How to make Dhuska

  1. Soak rice & daal for 4-5 hours.
  2. Grind with green chillies , garlic &very little water.
  3. Batter should not be very thick nor too runny. Add bit turmeric & salt to it.
  4. Heat oil in a wok. It should not be too hot.Take a round spoon which we use for making dosa .
  5. With the help of spoon gently release the batter into the oil.
  6. Fry from both sides. Serve with any gravy dish , aloo tamatar ki sabji or simply with pickle.

My Tip:

After grinding the batter add curry leaves, coriander and finely chopped onion to make it more delicious.
