Coconut Gulab Jamun

Ingredients to make Coconut Gulab Jamun

  • For making dough:
  • dessicated coconut 1 cup
  • Milk powder 3/4 cup
  • maida 1 1/2 cup
  • baking soda 1/4 tsp
  • ghee as required
  • Milk 1 tbsp
  • For sugar Syrup:
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water 1 1/2 Cup
  • cardamom powder a pinch
  • Vanilla extract 1/2 tsp

How to make Coconut Gulab Jamun

  1. Take a bowl. Add all the ingredients except milk, ghee and sugar.
  2. Knead into a smooth dough, add milk little by little. Add ghee for a smooth finishing, keep aside for 10 minutes. Make equal sized balls and keep aside. Grease your hands with ghee while making dough balls.
  3. Take a sauce pan. Add water and sugar. Boil till the sugar melts. Turn off the flame after 5 minutes.
  4. Heat a wok, add oil. Heat on a medium to low flame and fry the jamuns to golden brown. Remove it from wok and add it to the sugar syrup.
  5. Serve hot or cold.

My Tip:

Please make sure that the dough is soft.
