Coconut Shrimp

Ingredients to make Coconut Shrimp

  • Medium sized shrimps--25 in number
  • coconut oil-2 cups
  • desiccated sweetened coconut-1 1/2 cups
  • all purpose flour-1/2 cup
  • small eggs-2
  • pepper powder-1 teaspoons
  • panko bread crumbs-1 cup
  • salt -1 teaspoon

How to make Coconut Shrimp

  1. Clean the shrimps thoroughly
  2. First add all purpose flour,pepper powder and salt in one bowl
  3. Take another bowl and add the eggs and beat them until they becomes pale yellow in colour.
  4. Mix coconut and bread crumbs in another bowl
  5. Now take a shrimp,first dip it into flour mix,and then into egg and finally into coconut mixture
  6. You want lot of coconut around the shrimp for the best results.
  7. continue the same for all the other shrimps
  8. Heat the oil in the pan so that the oil is enough to cover the bottom of the skillet
  9. Now fry the shrimps until they become little brown in colour.
  10. serve them with sweet chilli sauce

My Tip:

You can freeze the coated shrimps for 1 month.
