Instant Coconut Sambhar

Ingredients to make Instant Coconut Sambhar

  • onion 1, grated
  • tomato 1, grated
  • coconut 1 tbsp, grated
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder as per taste
  • salt as per taste
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • curry leaves a few
  • green chillies 2
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • water as needed
  • Sambhar masala 1 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp

How to make Instant Coconut Sambhar

  1. Take a pan, heat some oil and add in the mustard seeds.
  2. Add in the onion and mix well. Next add in the tomato, cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add turmeric, red chilli, salt and sambar masala.
  4. Mix all together and cook for two minutes. Add in the water and lemon juice.
  5. Add in green chilli pieces, curry leaver and grated coconut.
  6. Let it boil on a low flame for 5 minutes.
  7. Enjoy hot instant sambhar with idlli.

My Tip:

Add lemon juice for extra flavour.
