Ingredients to make Jammy Hearts

  • Bread slices - 6 (I have used whole wheat)
  • Jam - 3 tbsp (I used mixed fruit)
  • water - 3 tsp
  • Cheese spread - 2 tbsp
  • butter or Olive oil for brushing - 1 tsp
  • For garnishing: sugar balls and Sprinkles

How to make Jammy Hearts

  1. Take the heart shaped cookie cutter and cut out hearts from all the breads. Make pairs and keep on a tray.
  2. Take to the top bread slices of all the 6 pairs. Make a smaller heart cut in all of them. Place them back.
  3. Now, apply a thin layer of cheese spread on both the inner side of the slices. Press slightly and keep aside.
  4. I applied butter on the edges of all the heart pairs. Then bake them in an oven at 200°C for about 8 minutes or more till they become golden in colour.
  5. As the heart pairs are baking, mix the jam and water. Make a smooth and thick yet runny paste.
  6. After taking the baked hearts out, while still warm add in the jam solution in the center. Garnish with sugar balls & sprinkles.
