ABOUT Malpuras RECIPE

It is a traditional Indian Sweet dish, golden in colour, easy to make and served hot with chilled rabris.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Atta 8 tablespoons
  2. Maida 8 tablespoons
  3. Malai 2 tablespoons
  4. Sugar 1 cup
  5. Water 1 glass
  6. Elachi powder 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Ghee for frying
  8. few strands of kesar
  9. Sliced Pistas for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Sugar Syrup: In a vessel put sugar and water.
  2. Boil it and remove the dirt.
  3. Add elachi powder and kesar.
  4. Boil for 5 minutes.
  5. Keep it aside.
  6. In a bowl put the material for the dough.
  7. Mix well with little water.
  8. Make sure no lumps are formed.
  9. You can even use grinder.
  10. Heat ghee in a pan.
  11. By using serving spoon make small puris in the ghee.
  12. Fry malpuras till golden brown, turning both sides.
  13. Repeat the same with the remaining batter.
  14. Soak malpuras in hot sugar syrup for 10 minutes.
  15. Transfer Malpuras in a serving dish.
  16. Garnish with sliced pistas.
  17. Serve Hot Malpuras with Chilled Rabri.
