Tricolour Cake

Ingredients to make Tricolour Cake

  • Flour 1 & 1/2 Cups
  • Sugar 6 Tbsp
  • Butter 6 Tbsp
  • Condensed Milk 1 Tin
  • Baking soda 3 pinch
  • Baking powder 3 pinch
  • Full Cream 4 Cups
  • Green & Saffron food colours.
  • Milk as required.

How to make Tricolour Cake

  1. Divide all the ingredients in 3 portions.
  2. Put a stand inside the pressure cooker, remove whistle. Keep on a low flame.
  3. In a bowl combine butter and sugar mix. Add milkmaid, mix. Add the mixture of flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add in milk to get a flowing ribbon consistency.
  4. Pour batter and place in the pressure cooker. Cook for 30 minutes on low flame till cake is well cooked.
  5. Repeat, this process with adding green and saffron colour and pressure cooking it respectively.
  6. Beat the cream with sugar until peaks form. Divide in 3 and add in colors. Put cream over each cake layer when layering it. (Make sure to match the colours)
  7. Refrigerate and serve later.
My Tip: A nice patriotic cake to be made on such occasions.
