Ingredients to make Butter Paneer Masala without onion garlic

  • cottage cheese/paneer 250 gram (cut in cubes)
  • butter 50 gram
  • tomato 3 chopped
  • ginger paste 1 spoonful
  • salt as per taste
  • Dry whole red chilli 2
  • Whole coriander seeds 1 spoonful
  • cinnamon 1 inch piece
  • bay leaves 2
  • cloves 3
  • Green cardamom 4
  • Black peppercorns 10
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi 1 spoonful
  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup

How to make Butter Paneer Masala without onion garlic

  1. Heat half butter in a wok or pan, add all whole spices in it. After 40 seconds add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and ginger paste, fry for 2 minutes.
  2. Next add chopped tomato and saute on high flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Switch off flame and let it cool. Gring this mixture with little water, keep aside.
  4. Heat remaining butter in same pan, add grind masala paste, let it simmer for 2 minutes, add paneer cubes.
  5. Cover it and cook for 5 minutes on sim flame, open lid and put crushed Kasuri methi and garam masala powder. Mix properly.
  6. If it is too thick then add little water, now add cream in paneer, mix and remove from flame. Serve hot with Missi roti/Naan/Phulka.
