Ingredients to make Peanut Butter Blossom Cookie

  • Unsalted butter – ½ cup
  • Peanut Butter – ½ cup
  • Brown Sugar – ½ cup
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Apple sauce – ĵ cup
  • Milk – 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla Extract – 1 tsp
  • All-Purpose Flour – 1  cup
  • Baking Soda – 1 tsp
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Hershey's Chocolate Kisses

How to make Peanut Butter Blossom Cookie

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degree celsius for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the wrapper of the chocolate and keep ready.
  3. Cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar and sugar.
  4. Add the applesauce, milk and vanilla. Beat well.
  5. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the creamed mixture. Beat on low speed until a stiff mixture forms. Do not over beat it.
  6. Shape into 1" balls. Place about 2" apart on a silpat or an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Top each cookie immediately after baking with a chocolate and press down firmly so that the peanut butter cookie begins to crack around the edges.
  9. Remove from cookie sheets and allow to cool completely. The Hershey's chocolate kiss will remain soft until completely cooled.
  10. Can be stored in airtight containers.

My Tip:

For Home made apple sauce – Peel and cube the apples. Steam with lemon juice till soft and tender. Then with a potato masher mash or blend in a blender.
