Japanese Fruit Jelly

Ingredients to make Japanese Fruit Jelly

  • Oranges 2
  • sugar 2 tbsp
  • Extra orange cut into slices 1
  • Strawberries as needed
  • Agar agar 1 tbsp heaped

How to make Japanese Fruit Jelly

  1. Squeeze out the juice from the oranges.
  2. Heat this juice in a pan for about 3-4 mins along with the sugar.
  3. Add the agar agar into this dissolved in about 1 tbsp of water while stirring it well.
  4. Meanwhile slice the extra orange and strawberries, then arrange them in individual cups.
  5. Let the juice cool down a bit. Then pour it over the fruits.
  6. Leave them outside for 10 mins, then pop them inside the refrigerator to set.
  7. After an hour, enjoy this fruity dessert.

My Tip:

You can use any fruits of your choice, but just remember one thing that tropical fruits like Kiwis and Pineapples take more time to set. Also if you use less agar agar, your jelly would be jiggly and less firm.
