Super Cracker

Ingredients to make Super Cracker

  • 50 gm - wheat flour
  • 25 gm - flax seeds
  • 25 gm - oat flour
  • 25 gm - almonds
  • 35 gm - ghee
  • 10- 12 - curry leaves roasted
  • 2 tbsp - jaggery ( grated)
  • 1/4 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp - amla (grated)
  • 1 tbsp - sesame seed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chat masala
  • 1/4 tsp chilly pwd
  • 3 tbsp chilled water or as required

How to make Super Cracker

  1. Dry roast the almonds, add flaxseeds, when it start roasting, add oats and curry leaves.
  2. Roast for 2 mins.
  3. Add to the grinder, and make a fine pwd.
  4. Add wheat flour, 25 gm ghee, melted jaggery, amla, Cardamom Powder and grind well.
  5. Add sesame seed and water ( if needed) and make a dough, keep aside for 15- 20 mins.
  6. Now roll it on the chopping board and cut into desired shape.
  7. Preheat the oven at 170°;C.
  8. Prick the crackers with the fork and bake for 7-8 mins. Flip the crackers after 5 mins.
  9. When it turns golden, take out from the oven and let it cool.
  10. Sprinkle some sesame seed and serve.

My Tip:

To melt the jaggery, take a microwave safe bowl, add 1 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp grated jaggery and micro for 1 min.
