Bread Upma

Ingredients to make Bread Upma

  • 3 slices of bread
  • Onions (Sliced) - 2 small
  • Tomatoes (chopped) - 1 large
  • Curry Leaves - 7 to 8
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Sambar powder - 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • Tomato ketchup - 1 tsp
  • Oil to cook
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

How to make Bread Upma

  1. Toast the bread till slightly golden brown, quickly spread a fine layer of Amul yellow butter and cut each slice into 9 pieces
  2. In a pan, heat a tablespoon of oil and add mustard seeds to it. Let them crackle
  3. Add sliced onions and cook till they are caramelised, then add the curry leaves
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes with salt, red chilli powder and sambar masala
  5. Cook till everything mixes well and add tomato ketchup
  6. Now add the bread slices and mix well till they combine
