Ingredients to make Shakshuka - just an egg dish in tomato gravy.

  • eggs 4
  • onion 1 big
  • capsicum.1 small,u can take difft colour of capsicum to add colour
  • tomatoes 3,big
  • chilli Powder 1/2 tsp or 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 2 pinch
  • Salt. & pepper.
  • A pinch of sugar,to adjust taste.
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • coriander leaves.

How to make Shakshuka - just an egg dish in tomato gravy.

  1. Chop onion,capsicum,coriander leaves,& tomatoes. Blend tomato in a mixi for 1 or 2 sec. .put a frying pan on fire,add garlic paste,fry it well. Then add onion,after 1min,capsicum,then after 1 min add crushed tomatoes. Fry well,adding chilli powder,garam masala, & salt . Fry well for a few min. Then add some water.close the lid & cook for 3,4 min,till 3/ 4 of the water is gone then make 4 holes in that gravy. Pour egg in each hole , u can put some salt & pepper on top of each egg. & cook for another 5 min. Chk,if the top of the egg is firm,then it s cooked. Put coriander leaves on top. Serve with chappathi ,or parota or any roti. U can add more chilli & garam masala ,if u want it spicy.

My Tip:

If you are cooking in a big pan, you can add 5 or 6 eggs at a time. Or if it is for more than 4 persons, you can take out some of the cooked gravy and make this 2 times.
