Ingredients to make Dahi Chicken
- chicken Medium Curry Cut - 1 kilogram
- onion Paste - 150 grams
- Dhai/ yogurt - 300 grams
- chilli Powder - 2 teaspoon
- haldi Powder - 1 teaspoon
- jeera/Cumin Powder - 1 & 1/2 teaspoon
- Dhaniya/coriander Powder - 2 teaspoon
- ginger Garlic Paste 50 gms
- mustard Oil - 2 Tablespoon
- salt to Taste
- For Home Made Garam masala Powder
- Badi Elaichi/ Black cardamom - 1
- Kali Mirch/ Black peppercorns - 8 to 9
- Laung/ cloves - 4 to 5
- Choti Elaichi/ Green cardamom - 2
- Dal Chini/ cinnamon Stick - 2 medium
- Whole jeera/Cumin seed - 1 teaspooon
- Chakra Phool/ star anise - 1/2 Pod
- javitri/Mace - 2 small piece
How to make Dahi Chicken
My Tip:
After taking off the flame leave the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving it, this helps the gravy to coat the chicken better.
