ABOUT Sabja Breakfast Bowl RECIPE

There is nothing like waking up to a healthy, delicious and filling bowl of breakfast cereal! This recipe is brought to you in association with the Murugappa Group for the Superfoods Campaign.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup rolled oats
  2. Cooked Amaranth 1/4 cup
  3. Sabja or Basil seeds - 4 tsp + for garnish
  4. Milk - 3 cups
  5. Nuts of your choice (Almonds, cashews, hazelnuts) - a small handful
  6. Flax seeds (roasted) - 2 tsp
  7. Coconut (shredded) - 2-3 tsp
  8. Honey - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Take two deep bowls and divide the oats, amaranth and sabja among them.
  2. Add enough milk to completely cover the ingredients and then some more.
  3. Cover the bowls and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Next morning, add honey as per taste.
  5. Top with nuts, coconut, sabja seeds and flax seeds.
  6. Your breakfast bowl is ready!

What is rolled oats. Is there different types of oats. I have saffola oats. M not sure whether it is rolled one or something else. Will this be okay for this.
