Lahori Chicken Curry

Ingredients to make Lahori Chicken Curry

  • 500 gm chicken
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 Tsp ginger - garlic paste
  • 3 onions
  • 3 tsp red chilli powder.
  • 1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 2-3 tomato puree
  • Fried onion
  • water as required

How to make Lahori Chicken Curry

  1. Heat oil/ghee in a pan.
  2. Add bay leaves and cumin seeds and saute
  3. Add chopped garlic and ginger and fry it til it gets yellow, add onion and fry till it gets brown in colour.
  4. Now add chicken fry it in medium flame for 8- 10 mins.
  5. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, Salt and mix it well and fry it for 5-6 mins in high flame.
  6. After that add ginger garlic paste and mix it well again, add 2 tsp garam masala powder and cook .
  7. Add tomato puree and fry it for 8--10 mins, add fried onion mix well now add water and cover it and cook for 14-15 mins in high flame.
  8. Serve
