Strawberry Lemonade Donuts

Ingredients to make Strawberry Lemonade Donuts

  • all purpose flour 130gm
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  • curd 300 gms
  • Castor sugar 80gm
  • Vanilla essence Few drops
  • zest of 1 large lemon
  • lemon juice 1.5 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil 10 ml
  • White chocolate 200gm
  • cream 2 tbsp
  • Strawberry essence 1/2 tsp
  • Sprinkles and pink colour (optional)

How to make Strawberry Lemonade Donuts

  1. Mix the flour, baking soda and powder in a bowl
  2. In another bowl, mix curd and sugar and beat well. Add vanilla essence, oil, zest and lime juice. Beat again.
  3. Add the dry mixture to this and mix well till it is smooth. Add milk if required
  4. Grease donut moulds, and pour batter till they are 3/4 full. Tap them on the counter a few times.
  5. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C
  6. Bake for about 15-20 mins, till tops are light brown and cake shrinks slightly from the edges.
  7. Allow to cool for about 15 mins and demould
  8. Heat white chocolate in a double boiler. Add the cream to it and allow to cool
  9. Add fresh strawberry crush (I didn't have any so I had to use essence) or 1/2 tsp strawberry essence. Mix well.
  10. Add pink colour to make it prettier.
  11. Dip donuts in chocolate ganache and decorate with sprinkles.

My Tip:

Use fresh crushed strawberries for the glaze. Do not forget to grease donut moulds even if they are made of silicon for this particular recipe.
